Terms of Service
Terms of Service
The conditions for using the Berry & Veg Vision website — how our educational blog and produce ordering section work, and what both sides agree to.
Agreement & Scope
These terms of service define the conditions for using the Berry & Veg Vision website. By accessing and using this site, you agree to be bound by these terms. The operator of this website is Berry & Veg Vision, located at 42 Loop Street, Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town, 8001, South Africa. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the website.
This is an educational blog about berries and vegetables and their nutrient content. It also includes a section for ordering fresh produce. The terms below cover both parts of the site: the articles and nutritional profiles you read, and the fresh-produce requests you submit. We keep the language plain so you can read the whole document in a few minutes.
Use of the website
Use of the website
This website is an educational blog about berries and vegetables and their nutrient content. It also includes a section for ordering fresh produce. You agree to use the site for lawful purposes only and to respect the rights of others.
You may not use the site to submit false information, disrupt its operation, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to its systems or data. That includes scraping content at volume, running automated ordering scripts against the produce section, or using the contact form to send spam.
Articles and nutritional profiles are written for general education about produce and eye wellness. They are not a substitute for professional advice, and you should not make personal health decisions based only on what you read here.
Ordering & Fulfilment
Produce ordering and fulfilment
How a produce request becomes an order
The ordering section of this website allows you to request fresh berries and vegetables. Submitting an order request does not constitute a binding contract until we confirm availability and send an invoice.
We reserve the right to decline an order if items are out of stock or if delivery to your location is not possible. Prices and availability are subject to change based on seasonal supply.
Seasonal gaps are normal for fresh produce grown in the Western Cape. When a variety is between harvests, the ordering page marks it as unavailable rather than accepting a request we cannot fill.
Payment Terms
Payment terms
We accept payment by invoice, bank transfer, cash on delivery, and card payment in person at pickup. We do not process online card payments through this website. For delivery orders, payment must be made before or at the time of delivery. For pickup orders, payment can be made in advance or in person at our premises.
If an invoice is not paid within the agreed timeframe, the order may be cancelled. We will tell you the payment window on the invoice so there is no ambiguity about when the produce needs to be collected or delivered.
Quality & Returns
Produce quality and returns
We source fresh produce from growers and suppliers in the Western Cape and inspect items before packing. If you receive damaged or spoiled produce, contact us within 24 hours of receipt. We will replace the item or issue a credit.
Because we deal in fresh, perishable goods, we cannot accept returns of items that have been stored improperly after receipt. This policy applies to both delivered and picked-up orders.
When you contact us about a quality issue, please include the order reference and a short description of the item. A photo helps us trace the batch back to the grower, which is how we keep the supply chain honest.
Intellectual Property
Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, articles, nutritional profiles, and guides, is the property of Berry & Veg Vision. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish content from this site without prior written permission.
You may share links to pages on this site. The names and descriptions of berries and vegetables are provided for educational purposes and are not intended to substitute for professional advice.
If you want to quote a passage in a school project, article, or community newsletter, write to us first. We usually grant non-commercial reprint permission with attribution, and we will tell you the exact credit line to use.
Limitation of Liability
Limitation of liability
Berry & Veg Vision provides educational information about the nutrient content of berries and vegetables. This information is not advice about eye conditions or a substitute for professional guidance. We do not accept liability for any decisions made based on the content of this website.
Our liability for produce orders is limited to the replacement of damaged or spoiled items as described in the produce quality section above. We do not cover indirect costs such as travel to collect a replacement or event catering losses caused by a late delivery.
Where the law of South Africa gives you rights that cannot be excluded, nothing in these terms reduces those rights. This section applies within the limits the law allows.

Terms in Plain Words
Frequently asked questions about these terms
Short answers to the questions readers ask most before placing a produce request or quoting an article.
Is my produce request a confirmed order right away?
No. Submitting a request tells us what you want. We confirm availability, then send an invoice. The order is binding only once you receive that invoice and we have agreed the details.
Can I pay for produce through the website?
Not by card online. We accept invoice, bank transfer, cash on delivery, and card payment in person at pickup. This keeps card details off the website entirely.
What if my produce arrives damaged?
Contact us within 24 hours of receipt. We replace the item or issue a credit. Because the goods are perishable, we cannot take back items that were stored incorrectly after you received them.
Can I quote an article in my own newsletter?
Sharing links is always fine. Republishing full text needs written permission first. Write to us, tell us the context, and we will usually grant non-commercial use with a credit line.
Does Berry & Veg Vision take liability for decisions based on the articles?
No. The articles are educational information about nutrient content, not professional advice. For produce orders, our liability is limited to replacing damaged or spoiled items as set out in the produce quality section.
